Established in 2013 and situated at the base of the magical Mt. Ida in the fertile Salmon Valley, Highland Meadows Farm is a riverside hobby farm, no-alcohol event venue, and market garden.

While deciding to create a more sustainable lifestyle for our family and live closer to the land, we also wanted an opportunity for our neighbours and nearby craftspeople to showcase their locally produced items. Supporting our local economy and creating community sufficiency are foundational principles on our farm.

From July through September, we host a Saturday farmstand market with our farmstand goods and support multiple rotating vendors and practitioners. We offer local honey, jam, baking, seasonal vegetables, fruit, garlic, flowers, eggs, pepperoni, crafts, and more.

Coffee, lemonade, cold drinks are available, and picnic tables and other outdoor seating for guests to rest and visit. An onsite porta-potty and plenty of off-road parking make for an all-around comfortable stop for travellers.

If you’re looking for a place to hold a micro wedding, birthday party, farm-to-table dinner, retreat, family reunion, or other event, our relaxed, rustic, vintage venue is a breath of fresh air and a lovely spot to unwind and socialize.

Whether stopping by to pick up fresh items for lunch or homemade gifts to give to guests, you’ll be sure to get something special and be supporting a local farmer and business at the same time.
